Twenty years after Praetor Shinzon was defeated by Federation forces, a new starship was developed. Inspired by the recent attacks against core Federation territory, engineers at Earth Station McKinley created a new defensive battle cruiser, the first Franklin Class starship, USS Amerstein (Classification: NCC-1835-A).

... hmmm... I attended a concert where the bands all had the Trek theme. They filmed the sequel to Trekkies there... That makes me the KING dork.
