Star Trek Design: Franklin Class

Twenty years after Praetor Shinzon was defeated by Federation forces, a new starship was developed. Inspired by the recent attacks against core Federation territory, engineers at Earth Station McKinley created a new defensive battle cruiser, the first Franklin Class starship, USS Amerstein (Classification: NCC-1835-A).

Capitalism and Oppression?

This is a painting commissioned by one of my coworkers. He had the idea of a mountain of dead bodies and Mr. Burns from The Simpsons holding the American flag. I drew some thumbnails out, and then made a quick comp in photoshop (also above) to show him. He said he would like more black in the painting, not to resemble so much hell, but just war.

I began about two weeks ago, but I only work on it twice a week for about two hours at a time...so probably about 8-10 hours so far. A few more hours and it will be complete and ready to go.
